The Rewards Club cycle
1
Customers join your club
Customers sign up from your website signup form, a QR code at your counter, a link in a social media post, or by texting a keyword to your SMS number. Wix businesses can also invite their existing Wix Contacts. See Sign up customers from all sources.
2
They verify their email and get a welcome
Rewards Club sends a verification email. After the customer verifies, they receive your Signup Reward email, or a Welcome email if you have no signup reward turned on.
3
Rewards arrive automatically
Rewards Club sends each reward you have turned on: a Birthday Reward before the customer’s birthday, an Anniversary Reward before their anniversary, Monthly Rewards on the dates you choose, and Check-In Rewards for repeat in-person visits.
4
Customers redeem the reward
In your store, the customer shows the reward email on their phone. If one-time use is on, staff tap the Redeem button in the email. Online, the customer enters the promo code at checkout. See How customers redeem rewards.
5
You track the results
Customers & Stats shows who joined, how many rewards were sent and how many were redeemed. Redemptions lists every redeemed reward.
Reward types
Each reward can be turned on or off at any time in Customize Rewards. You write the reward text, choose the email images and decide when it expires.
Emails your customers receive
- Verification email: sent when a customer signs up. Reward emails only go to verified email addresses.
- Signup Reward or Welcome email: sent after verification. If the signup reward is off, the customer gets the Welcome email instead.
- Reward emails: birthday, anniversary, monthly and check-in rewards, based on the rewards you have turned on.
- Newsletters: emails you write and send yourself from Send Newsletter.
What customers share when they join
Customers enter their email address, their birthday (month and day), and their name. They can optionally add an anniversary date. If you turn on Collect demographics, the signup form also asks for an optional age group and gender.Rewards Club asks only for the birthday month and day, never the birth year. A full date of birth is sensitive personal information that many customers prefer not to share, and the month and day are all that is needed to send a birthday reward every year. An age group gives you useful demographics without the birth year.
